Chris has been working on the family tree for a while now -- it’s a bit surprising that there are over 1,200 individuals listed already, going back over 400 years. Chris’ family has one line (the Thompson family) that was relatively well documented, and the Jeys family can be traced back to England. The Radloff/Trometer side of the family only goes back a few generations, when they moved to Iowa from Germany. Dagmar’s families (the Kopacs and Dalpez families) only go back a few generations so far -- lots of work is still to be done. (We’re finding that the families are harder to trace in Europe -- there are more records available in the U.S. for some reason.)

Sadly, our work on genealogy has pretty much stopped at this point. My laptop died so I moved the software over to my other PC, but now that computer's on its last legs as well. They don't make compatible software for the Mac, and I simply don't have as much spare time as I used to enjoy...
